The B & V Water Treatment range of brominators provide a safe and reliable method for you to dispense bromine into water. These tablets are sometimes referred to as bromine release tablets, organo–halogen tablets or hydantoin tablets. Water flows through the brominator from the application, either under the water pressure generated by the system or via a booster pump. As the water flows through the brominator the tablets held within are dissolved into the system water, with the rate of dissolving being controlled by adjustment of the flow rate. The hypobromous acid formed by dissolving the tablets can be used for microbiological control in a wide range of water systems. Hypobromous acid is a proven and highly affective biocide.
A brominator consists of:
There are 3 standard sizes for most situations but larger sizes are available:
Timer and/or redox controlled solenoid valves are available as optional extras for greater control of the bromine levels and, with systems that do not have a pressurised flow available, a pump can be installed. All of B & V Water Treatment's brominators can be skid mounted with all of the above features.
As with all of the plant that B & V Water Treatment provides, bespoke systems can be produced if you have specialist needs that cannot be met by our standard range of brominator. If you are unsure as to which brominator would best suit your application, or if you would just like a second opinion, our highly trained staff will be more than happy to give guidance as to the best solution for your brominator needs.
